There is a New Band taking The World By Storm. They Are Called Liliac. They are dubbed “The First Family Of Rock”. The band is comprised of all brothers and sisters. They Are a Fast Paced, High Energy, Hair Flying, Heavy Metal band. The Band Consists of Lead Singer Melody Cristea , Samuel Cristea -Guitar, Abigail Cristea -Drums, Ethan Cristea -Bass, Justin Cristea -Keyboard/Keytar. ( Fill In Drummer Alexa Rae who has worked with Pinktastic Plastixx). The First Time I saw Liliac live was 2021 in Pigeon Forge Tennessee at the Big Monsters On The Mountain Three day Rock Festival and they were Awesome. but This Time They Were Just as Amazing if Not More!
The band Liliac formed Out in Los Angeles California area around 2016 and Their parents are from Transylvania, Romania. Their father Florin is their manager and has been a producer for years and people just call him “Papa Liliac”. The Name Liliac derives from Romania meaning “ Bat” They even sell “stuffed Toy Bats” for merch with the bands name Liliac on them.( Kids Just Love Them!) They Have already produced a few albums too! Their First Album was “ Chain Of Thorns” released in 2019. Their Second Album “ Queen Of Hearts” released 2020. They Just Released their third album called “ Madness” .
You Might have seen them on the Tv Shows, “ The Worlds Best” , or “ Americas Got Talent”. Where They Blew Everyone Away With Their Talent.
They Are On Their 2023 Madness Tour and Made a Stop in Knoxville Tennessee for the very first time at The Open Chord All Things Music.
So Very Glad They Did! The Open Chord is an All ages venue and there truly was ALL ages there to see Liliac that night! Kids to adults they all Love Liliac! When I Arrived early there was already a packed parking lot and a Long Line to get in.!
Once inside the line for their massive merchandise table was long. They have everything from Vinyl albums, CDs, jewelry, t-shirts a little bit of everything.
Opening the Show was a band from Nashville Tennessee called Cadence. But you could tell everyone was there for Liliac. The Liliac Band Wasted No Time Once they hit the stage it was Non Stop Rock! Opening the show with one of their original songs “Rise Up” From their 2023 Album Madness. Which was pretty Awesome! They Did Mostly Originals,( which by the way are Totally Amazing!) but they did throw in some Cover songs : Ozzy ( Crazy Train) Metallica ( Enter sandman ) Dio ( Holy Diver). Melody Loves Dio and I Think Ronnie James Dio would have loved and approved her cover! Melody with her strong and Raspy Voice just nailed every song. Hair Slinging and twirling that microphone stand around like it was nothing and like she had been doing it all her life. Samuel was on fire with his Blazing Guitar Riffs and cool stage presence, Ethan was a powerhouse on The Bass Jumping around , Justin was as amazing on keyboards and then all of a sudden switched to the Keytar and jumping around. They Had Fill In Drummer Alexa taking on the drums and she did a Great Job keeping the beat! They Kept the packed house Rocking and all eyes were on them. At The End of the evening they brought up a bunch of kids on stage and everyone had a blast Rocking out with the band. They Also threw out bracelets and other merchandise to the fans at this show. One cool thing I noticed was they wrote their set lists on the back of their posters and when the show was over some lucky fans received them! I would Highly recommend seeing this band any time they come your way. They Put On one Fantastic Show! I Sure Hope They come back to Knoxville Tennessee again.
