Whey Jennings Debuts to Sold Out Crowd!

Whey Jennings Plays sold out show in Maryville Tennessee.
Country Singer/Songwriter Whey Jennings Made his Debut at The Shed Smokehouse and Juke Joint in Maryville This past weekend and it was a sold out show!
Whey Was born into the Iconic Jennings Family as his Grandfather is none other than The Legendary Waylon Jennings. Whey Being The Grandson of THE Waylon Jennings and has definitely got the musical gene. Whey Has the Deep Baritone voice and sounds a lot like his famous Grandfather. Whey Wants to establish his own musical legacy. Thank Goodness Whey Is Keeping the Traditional outlaw country sound alive! Whey Started Out in 2012 and has a few albums under his belt already. “Gypsy Soul” (2020) “ If It Wasn’t For Sinnin” (2022) and his most recent album is titled “ Just Before the Dawn” (2023). Whey Shares His Story through his songs about his struggles with addiction, finding his sobriety and his redemption. Whey Is very Open and Honest about it all. The Stage was set for Whey at The Shed with a beautiful red curtain backdrop, red candles that glowed and a beautiful crystal chandelier above the stage.
Whey took to the stage to a cheering sold out crowd , wearing jeans a red shirt and his signature black hat.
He Started off with one of his original songs a fast upbeat song called “ Wild Child” and he got the crowd going from the start. He did a mixture of his own songs and some of his legendary grandfathers songs. Including : “ I’ve Always Been Crazy” “ Lonesome , On’ry, and Mean” “ The Highwayman” “ Waymore Blues” “ Luckenbach Texas” “ I’m a Ramblin Man” “ Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line” . He did his song “ The Gun” which is a Pro second amendment anthem song written from the perspective of the gun. Whey took us all to church when he sang his songs “ Hallelujah” and the emotional “ Lead Me Home” . He Held one of the red candles in the air as he sang and everyone was waving their arms above their heads. Whey also did a few cover songs from Lynyrd Skynyrd and his band did the ZZ Top song “ Sharp Dressed Man” with his guitarist Pat Burr on Vocals while Whey took a break. Whey Did a new song soon be released called “ Jekyll and Hyde” . It was another Awesome song so be on the lookout for it. Whey’s Show’s have lots of energy and he has that natural born Jennings talent. It was a great show! I Highly Recommend seeing him.
Opening The Show was Nashville recording artist Sam Lowe. Sam is a country music singer songwriter from the hills of Virginia. He is currently on a national tour with Whey Jennings. Sam Got his Big Break one night when he walked into a club and the band didn’t show up . So he ended up taking the spot and as they say the rest is history ! Sam did an acoustic set with a mix of his originals and some covers songs. I remember him doing a great cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd song ” Ballad of Curtis Loew” and Blackberry Smokes ” Good one Comin On” . He did a great job starting off the night.
