The American Southern Rock Band The Georgia Thunderbolts, Based out of Rome Georgia returned to Maryville Tennessee To Rock The Shed Smokehouse and Juke Joint This past weekend and man What an Awesome show! The Guys have been touring all over the US and the UK In Support of their new Album ” Rise Above It All” – On Mascot Records. Its An Amazing Album that Truly Rocks! The album has 13 Tracks with Hard Hitting Southern Rock and blues. They Kicked off the night with the song “ Stand Up” They Played Alot of songs off of their New Album and it was great hearing the new songs live. They also did a few of their other popular songs from their other album “Can we Get A Witness” . But One cover song I was not expecting them to do was a Black Sabbath song “ The Wizard” . The Guys were really Having fun and they didn’t slow down long except when Singer T. J. Lyle did an acoustic set alone on stage and also when he took to the keyboard to sing and play .( He also plays guitar and harmonica.) Then there’s Riley Couzzourt rocking on guitar with hair flying who Never slows down. Bristol Perry keeping the beat on the drums. Logan Tolbert rocking on Guitar and Zach Everett holding down the low end on bass . T. J.s Vocals will draw you in and Riley and Logan on the Guitars will keep you Rocking. Each Member giving it their all and they all were meshing very well. The Band Puts on a High Energy Rock Show and They Don’t Slow down much. The Shed Show was Phenomenal and I spoke with the guys after the show who said they were heading home for a few weeks to rest and recharge. They Have had quite a Busy Year. He did mostly his original music ( Which Sounded great!) but did throw in his version of a ZZ Top Song and did a Lynyrd Skynyrd Song. ( well he was wearing a Lynyrd Skynyrd T-shirt)
He’s Been Called the West Coasts Biggest Americana export. He’s currently opening up for Blackberry Smoke and is scheduled to play the Rock Legends Cruise 2025. His Newest Album is called “ On The Ride Here” so be sure to get a copy of it . Go to http://www.sammorrowmusic.com to keep up with him and his busy schedule.
