MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Big Radio Records artist Christopher Wyze & The Tellers turn up the juke joint beat with their new single, “This Ain’t That.” Blending childlike innocence with playful, off-the-wall lyrics, the track delivers a feel-good groove that doesn’t require overthinking, just a willingness to nod your head and enjoy the ride. Written by frontman Christopher Wyze, the song is a reminder that sometimes music is meant to be simple, loud, and fun, offering listeners a break from heavy, cryptic songwriting and inviting them to join in on the good time. “This Ain’t That” was premiered by Nashville Music Guide.

“This one was fun to write,” shares Wyze. “I wanted a song that had a groove everybody can relate to, with lyrics that didn’t make you think too hard. The funny thing is that some people who’ve heard the song tell me they dig the lyrics. I had one person say, ‘I love the lyrics…they’re so profound.’ That made me laugh. “This Ain’t That” profound? Really? If you ask me, that’s stuff your average Sesame Street viewer can understand. My idea was to have a little fun – simple lyrics, and a fun beat. And that’s what came out, a song we hope everybody has fun listening to.”
Wyze’s previous single, “Her Name In My Song,” was released as an anti-love anthem with a twist for Valentine’s Day. What begins as a sweet love song gradually reveals the truth: the relationship is over. The track takes a sharp turn at the end when he makes it clear that her name will never make it into his song. Honest, relatable, and cleverly written, it captures that all-too-familiar moment when love turns into heartbreak, proving not every Valentine’s song comes with a happy ending. “Her Name Is My Song” was premiered by Center Stage Magazine.
Wyze had an extraordinary 2025 by becoming the only artist to place two albums within the Top 100 of Roots Music Report’s Top Blues Albums for the Year 2025. Media coverage for the band included features in Living Blues, Blues in Britain, The Boston Chris Show, The Hollywood Times, Americana Highways, Corning, New York’s Big Fox News, Blue Monday Monthly, Spotify Recent Music, Indianapolis’ WISH-TV, Success Made To Last, The Doctor Ward Bond Show, The Donna Drake Show, Nashville’s Local On 2, Huntsville’s Tennessee Valley Living, Nashville Music Guide, and more.
