Up Next was John Cowan on Bass with Darin & Brooke Aldridge. Unfortunately John was under strick orders by the Doctor to not sing as he had laryngitis. He made an announcement if anyone wanted a refund they could get one but that they would not be disappointed if they stayed. and everyone stayed! You could just tell John really really wanted to sing. He was wonderful on the bass and really getting into the music. They did a little bit of everything which from what I’ve been told is the norm for John Cowan. Playing everything from Flat & Scruggs to Bill Monroe. Darin & his wife Brooke Aldridge did a wonderful job taking the lead on singing. Darin & Brooke are an award winning country /folk/bluegrass duo who sing and tour with John sometimes. Both are highly acclaimed vocalists in their own right. (Brooke is 2 time reigning IBMA female vocalist of the year. This has only happened 7 times in the history of the Award) Be sure to check them out at http://www.darinandbrookealdridge.com
