Keel Fest ll
Bowies in Nashville Tennessee was THE place to be Saturday March 18, 2023.
They Held the long awaited and Much anticipated KEELFEST 2 !!
It was a five hour concert.
Doors opened at 6pm and it was a packed house from the start. Loyal diehard Keel Fans Dressed with their denim jackets with Keel Patches and Keel t-shirts and waited on the front row patiently for the show to start. I don’t think I seen them leave their spot once during that whole five hours!
Opening The show was RFK Media Artists Crashing Wayward. An exciting new Modern Rock High Energy band from the Las Vegas area.
They will be releasing their debut album “Listen” on Cd and all digital /streaming platforms June 2023. Their Song ” Breathe” was released digitally by RFK media December 2022.
Vocalist /front man Peter Summit, Guitarists Stacey David Blades (formerly L.A. Guns),David Harris, Bassist Carl Raether and Drummer Shon Mckee will definitely Rock your socks off and make you stand up and take notice! Be sure to keep an eye on them as these guys are going places!
They Definitely Rocked KEEL fest 2!
Up Next was Fayetteville North Carolina RFK Media Recording artists The Fifth and I can tell you these guys came to ROCK! Fronted by Powerhouse vocalist Roy Cathey leading the way! Roy got the crowd going from the start. ( Roy was also the singer in the band Cold Sweat). The Fifth have released their debut album on RFK media and its Fantastic!! The band consists of Roy Cathey / Vocals, Justin Womble Guitars/ Vocals, Jake Tripp Bass/ vocals, Gary “ Zeus” Smith Drums/vocals.
“ Shake Little Sister” and “ The Calm Before The Storm” are both Awesome songs.
Roy and the guys were all over that stage from the beginning and the crowd seemed to love them. Near the end of their set Roy brought out Marc Ferrari ( They were in Cold Sweat together and Marc was also in KEEL) and they did a Cold Sweat Song ( ” Crying Shame” Which is also one of my personal favorites! ) to the cheering audience! Be Sure to keep up with these guys as they are definitely another band to watch in 2023 and beyond!
Then came time for Ron Keel to take the stage! The Next three bands were The Ron Keel Band, KEEL, and Steeler. It was Great being there for the Steeler reunion featuring Rik Fox .( Formerly of WASP).At the end of the night he brought out a bunch of the guys for a bow. First up was
Just Ron on stage singing “ Dreams are Not Enough” and then him and the guys ROCKED! for like three hours! He brought up two guys on stage who both had tattoos on their arms that’s said “ Wild Forever” during that song. One of the guys got to play Rons Guitar too! and Ron by the way had a lot of very cool Guitars! It was great to hear so many songs in one night. It was a Very Magical night! some of my personal favorites were Dreams are Not Enough, Fight Like a band, Wild Forever, Speed demon, Lets Spend the night together. Just to name a few.
Ron had Two Set Lists! He gave it all he had and by the end of the night you could tell he was exhausted and left it all on the stage. Ron is doing his radio show, RFK Media, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon and that’s great for us!
