This marks Jason’s fifth studio album, and first gospel album compiled of covers of classic church hymnals worship songs along with a passionate original “Though I Am Tempted”. Jason has a distinctive vocalizing sound in his music that he carries into this album that takes timeless classic and breathes new breath into it with his his high and low keys that he is able to hit, paired with the drawn out vocalizing creating a unique feel to a once basic worship tune.

“I don’t know what this record is going to do as far as what anyone else calls success but for me, it’s what I needed to do and I’m grateful to all of you who give it a listen and support my music.

I have been and always will be a country boy. The way I was raised made me who I am and part of the path that got me here was being raised in church by my preaching Marine of a Father and my Mom that was married to a Marine who became a preacher. Once a Marine, ALWAYS a Marine.”

This album is definitely one of the very best gospel albums I’ve listened too. Jason, carrying his country twang into classic worship songs giving his own unique voice, you can hear the fervor and deep love JMC has for God in each song. They are all great songs, two that stand out as my favorites off the album are “Though I Am Tempted” and “It is Well With My Soul”. These two, one being a classic hymn that is soul soothing and comforting – “It Is Well With My Soul” and the other “Though I Am Tempted” is a daily depiction of real life, of the struggles we face and how we fight with flesh and worldly pleasures and try to stay in the light of God and seek his face. Beautiful penmanship by Jason on this song as it’s real, it’s raw to the core of every believers soul. Which I credit Jason moreover than most as his lyrics always have a profound impact and invokes emotional connection in realistic ways to resonate with fans.

Knowing Jason personally as a friend and a huge fan; seeing the challenges and storms he has weathered and endured, I am happy and proud of Jason for the work he has put in to be a great father, husband, role model and singer songwriter. Along with suggesting you to listen to this album I encourage you to go to Jason’s Facebook and watch his “Good Morning with JMC” videos he post that are encouraging and uplifting. There you can also see where Jason will be performing next in a city close to you!
