“H O L Y”
A Soul-Stirring Anthem of Love and Imperfection
New EP HEARTLAND: PART I Set for Release on July 4
NASHVILLE, Tennessee – Nashville native and folk-pop artist MORGXN is proud to announce the release of his latest single, “H O L Y,” listen HERE. The track is an introspective and powerful ode to love, vulnerability, and the beauty found in true love. With MORGXN’s signature emotive vocals and a blend of alt-pop and electronic influences, “HOLY” is poised to resonate deeply with listeners and solidify his place as a unique voice in the music scene.
“H O L Y is what I feel about my love with my husband, Gabriel,” notes MORGXN. “The south – be it society or religion – has always cast its shadow on what is and what is not holy. There is nothing more holy than love. This song became the turning point of the album and unlocked the rest of the production for me – mixing folk and electronic elements for a hybrid folktronic soundscape.”
Written by MORGXN, Jesse Brock, and Notelle, “H O L Y” captures a raw, reflective moment that celebrates the profound connection between two people. The song explores the idea of love as something sacred, not because of perfection, but because of its authenticity and the vulnerability it brings. It’s a reminder that, even in moments of failure and uncertainty, love has the power to heal, ignite passion, and feel “holy.”
The track’s lyrics express this deeply personal journey:
“I feel your body next to me / How could that not feel meant to be / Something inside me starts to beat / I don’t care what you call it / It’s holy.”
“H O L Y” is a taste of more new music to come from MORGXN, with his highly anticipated new EP HEARTLAND : PART I set to be released on July 4, 2025. The EP perfectly encapsulates MORGXN’s ability to create music that feels both personal and universal, speaking to the complexities of relationships and the strength that comes from embracing love, flaws and all.
“I somehow find myself writing this from my heart space on my literal heart land – a farm that my husband and I bought in 2023 and have been planting an orchard,” shares MORGXN. “This year when part 1 comes out we are also hosting the small town’s pride celebration because it was banned from public spaces because a photo of a drag queen made too many people mad. It’s a wild time to be a sensitive queer person in rural spaces but the truth is – We are here and not staying silent. The image of a ‘heartland’ is usually reserved for straight and white families. I wanted to reclaim this very ‘American’ thing for our community. Because we are and will always be here. And I found deeper love in the heartland than I could ever imagine. And this is just part 1 ………..”
