NASHVILLE, TENN. (March 6, 2026) — Today, PLATINUM Country-Rock standouts Southall continue their hot streak by igniting an incendiary and up-tempo new single titled “Burning Bridges” out now. Listen to “Burning Bridges” here.  Drummer Reid Barber notably penned the lyrics to “Burning Bridges,” and it catches fire straight out of the gate. Dusty electric guitar energizes the track, charging ahead on a fast-paced rhythm. Spacey keys chime through the crunch of power chords, and frontman, vocalist, guitarist, and namesake Read Southall delivers the hypnotic refrain with raw and relatable emotion, “The bridges burning may light my way and shine on all the right words to say, but it’s raining on my parade.” He goes on to wonder, “When you look up and you’re all alone, do you wish you’d never left home and just played it safe?” An arena-ready guitar solo practically stretches to the heavens executed with panache and power, showcasing another side of the group altogether.  Barber explains, “Burning Bridges is a modern rocker about the ups and downs of betting on yourself in the face of doubt, and carving a way forward where no one else sees one.”  “Burning Bridges” lands on the heels of the buzzing “Freight Train.” The song amped excitement for more and quickly picked up steam on DSPs. Blown away, Raised Rowdy proclaimed, “‘Freight Train’ is a solid, confident release that shows exactly where the boys are these days – and it’s a damn good spot to be.” Fresh off a Northeast and Midwest run with Ole 60 — capped by a closing night at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, IL — Southall is charging into a milestone year. The band first joins co-headliners ZZ Top and Dwight Yoakam for a run of dates this spring before stepping onto even bigger stages this summer on the SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY TOUR alongside The Black Crowes and Whiskey Myers. The latter marks the most expansive tour of their career, putting Southall in front of their largest crowds to date, including a stop at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on May 21. Meanwhile, Southall was recently named Texas Roadhouse’s Artist of the Month for March, with their music spotlighted across the brand’s 700+ restaurant locations nationwide. As part of the program, the band’s new music video for “Southwestern Son” will air once every 90 minutes in every Texas Roadhouse location, introducing their sound to diners across the country throughout the month. Past artists featured in the program include Kenny Chesney, Kacey Musgraves, Justin Moore, and Kelsea Ballerini. Altogether boasting nearly 770 million career streams, Southall has spent the last decade building a rabid grassroots following — headlining shows nationwide while steadily leveling up tour slots with acts like Treaty Oak Revival, Koe Wetzel, and Turnpike Troubadours. Southall capped off a busy 2025 with the release of The Six String Sorrow Sessions that features seven re-recorded tunes from their breakout independent debut Six String Sorrow, tagging in the likes of John Jeffers of Whiskey Myers, Koe Wetzel, and Hudson Westbrook for new collaborative recordings. ABOUT SOUTHALL: Founding member Read Southall hails from Oklahoma and is joined in the six-piece group by Reid Barber, Jeremee Knipp, Braxton Curliss, John Tyler Perry, and Ryan Wellman. Southall’s musical influences range from Country to Rock to Metal and everything in between, making for a wholly original sound that Rolling Stone described as “infuse[ing] rock and metal into the band’s coffee shop vibe.” The guitar-driven band never loses focus on meaningful lyrics, penning tunes that speak to every aspect of life and help drive a Rock and Roll experience for their audience, whether they’re listening at home or at a packed show. The act throws gas on the fire beneath their fast-rising career with their last release, Southall – the raw and explosive self-titled album released via Smoklahoma Records. Southall’s 2021’s For the Birds features the epic six-minute long single “Where We Belong” and “impressive standout” (Raised Rowdy) “Rose Gold” and follows their 2017 album Borrowed Time, which includes their RIAA PLATINUM-certified single “Why”. Full of ‘70s Soul, Country-inspired lyricism, and Rock and Roll heart, their music draws packed crowds and evokes old-school Country and early Grunge all at once.
