Perfecting the ultimate genre hybrid with “Where We Go,” glimmering synths seamlessly complement the twang of the intro’s electric guitar lick. Thomas Rhett’s smooth delivery practically melts into Marshmello‘s warm production, brimming with energy and emotion in equal measure. The momentum picks up, and a head-nodding beat takes hold. This surge drives the track into the embrace of a chantable stadium-size refrain, “I ain’t even had a drink but I’m backroad tipsy, lose my mind every time you kiss me, I don’t care where we go as long as you’re here with me.” It’s got the kind of universal spark that could light up clubs during last call, festivals as the sun goes down, and arenas everywhere. It’s no wonder HOLLER predicted it as “genre-blurring.” The visual brings this vibe to life on screen, capturing the effortless chemistry between Thomas Rhett and Marshmello in the process.
Last year, Marshmello made waves with a series of country singles. Most recently, “Better Man Than Me” [with Hudson Westbrook] and mxdwn marveled at how, “The mix of modern production with traditional country flavor gives the song a unique character.” It arrived on the heels of “Holy Water,” which featured GRAMMY® Award-nominated superstar Jelly Roll., American Songwriter, Billboard, and more praised, “The contrast between Jelly Roll’s soulful grit and Marshmello’s atmospheric beats creates a balance that feels both fresh and familiar,” and Entertainment Focus applauded, “The release showcases Marshmello’s ability to seamlessly traverse genres.”
“Holy Water” marked the second country leaning collaboration from the genre bending artist and producer who first made history in the genre when he collaborated with Kane Brown for “Miles On It.” The song took flight as “the first song ever to debut at #1 on both the Top Dance/Electronic Songs Chart and Top Country Songs Chart.” The release showcases Marshmello’s ability to seamlessly traverse genres and arrives on the heels of earlier 2025 releases including “Worlds Apart” [feat. Feat. AR/CO] and “Save My Love” [with Ellie Goulding & AVAION], and “Slow Motion” [with Jonas Brothers].
“Where We Go” highlights Thomas Rhett’s continued evolution as a genre-defying force, seamlessly blending country storytelling with Marshmello’s cutting-edge production. The song follows his current Top 5 single “Ain’t A Bad Life (ft. Jordan Davis)” and the recent release of “Georgia On My Mind,” a soulful reinterpretation of the timeless classic that is featured in ESPN’s official campaign for the Masters Tournament. The track highlights his signature blend of modern country and classic influence while honoring both the song’s legacy and his deep connection to his home state.
Thomas Rhett is gearing up to bring his “must-watch” (OutKick) live show back to the road this summer with THE SOUNDTRACK TO LIFE TOUR, a 20+ city run showcasing his signature high-energy performances. The tour will feature a rotating lineup of rising acts including ERNEST, Kashus Culpepper, Zach John King, Vincent Mason and Conner Smith, with Emily Ann Roberts opening each night. He’ll kick off the tour with a very special co-headlining show with longtime friend Niall Horan at Nashville’s GEODIS Park and the two will appear again at Hersheypark Stadium later in the month; the shows mark a milestone moment for both artists, as their first stadium performances together and the first-ever headline concerts at GEODIS Park.
