Written by Bradford and Jami Grooms as an unapologetic reflection on chasing dreams at full speed, no matter the consequences, the song delivers a hard-hitting blend of raw storytelling and highway-born recklessness. Fueled by vivid imagery of whiskey-soaked nights, cigarette smoke, haunted memories, and endless roads, “Blacktop Bender” captures both the freedom and emotional cost that can come with pursuing a life built on passion and purpose.

“‘Blacktop Bender’ is a song about chasing your dreams with reckless abandon, no matter the cost,” shares Bradford.

Equal parts confession and battle cry, it paints a portrait of an artist determined to burn bright, live loud, and leave something real behind.

The release continues Bradford’s steady rise as one of country music’s most authentic emerging voices. Deeply rooted in the cowboy and ranching lifestyle he was raised in, he has carved out a lane all his own through emotionally honest songwriting and a sound that blends Texas grit with cinematic storytelling. 

His breakout moment came when “This Way of Life” was featured in Season 3, Episode 9 of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, becoming one of the most Shazamed country songs in America following the episode’s airing.
