FOXBORO, Mass. – And the love affair continues! Never mind it’s where Kenny Chesney named No Shoes Nation, or the fact he’s closing in on 1.5 million fans played to since his first show in 2005, there’s something about New England and the East Tennessee songwriter-superstar that transcends the artist-fan reality.
 
But initial response to the announcement of the Original Vibe Room Tour has been so charged and frenetic, the decision’s been made. Chesney will play a second show at the home of the New England Patriots on Friday, August 27 – continuing the double-show tour-ending tradition that’s been such a part of Chesney culture over the last decade and a half.

For all the citizens of No Shoes Nation, once again, they can make a weekend out of one of America’s true rites of summer.
 
“It’s been a while since we’ve been out here,” Chesney says, “and we didn’t want to get greedy. You don’t know. It’s been two years, three when we get there. But the people have spoken, and I hope they know: we listen. Anyone who wants to be part of the last weekend of the Original Vibe Room Tour, c’mon!
 
“What’s crazy: we’re actually looking at doubles maybe in a few other places, too. I’ve always said: if somebody wants to come out and be part of all the music, the positive vibes and being together, I want them to be able to come out. So, stay tuned.”
 
With powerhouse force Eric Church and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sheryl Crow, it’s going to be filled with music that has defined what it means to be alive, engaged and inhabiting every single moment over the last 25 years. In Boston, where it’s now a double, No Shoes Nation can make a weekend of it.
