The Kentucky Headhunters LIVE in Maryville, TN!

The Kentucky Headhunters Headlined The Labor Day Weekend at The Smokey Mountain Harley Davidsons The Shed in Maryville Tennessee Saturday September 2, 2017. The Shed is an outside covered stage and front viewing area is also covered. It is located next to the Smokey Mountain Harley Davidson Dealership. It Started out a wet and cool day which its usually very hot. By the Time the gates opened it was clear and dry. Opening the show was Heathen Sons from Nashville Tennessee. They had a great set and the crowd seemed to enjoy them.

Then came the Kentucky Headhunters. They hit the stage about 8:30pm and played about. two hours. They did lots of their hits including ” Walk Softly on This Heart Of Mine”, “ Dumas Walker”, Oh Lonesome Me”,  Daddy Was A Milk Man” , “Spirit In The Sky” , Just To Name A few. Also throwing in a few of their Blues tunes and a few new songs off their Latest cd SAFARI that came out in 2016. The Shed loves the Headhunters and they love the shed. They always play the Sheds Labor day weekend bash. I believe they have been playing the Shed for the last 12 years. Only missing one year.

It’s always a fun time and you never know what will happen. Later in the show they got The Shed/Smokey Mountain Harley Dealership owner Scott Maddux up on stage to play with them. He was given Richard Young’s Guitar to play and Scott got to jam with the Headhunters. The crowd loved it ! They Then got Drummer Fred Young up front to sing a Bad Company song ”Rock Steady” which was Awesome! Fred had already done an Awesome Drum solo. Then to top off the night They got the members of Heathen Sons on stage for one final song to have one final jam. It was great! I highly recommend seeing The Kentucky Headhunters in concert as they always put on a great show! Members of The Kentucky Headhunters are Lead Singer/Bass Doug Phelps, Greg Martin on Guitar, Richard Young on Guitar, Drummer Fred Young.
