What better way to learn about artist we all know and love than to find out about their sweet tooth right? Music Matters Magazine had a chance to speak with Zack Shelton of 64 to Grayson than to discover your favorite ice cream treats and talk a little about what is going on in your world of music. So, let’s dive right into and get the inside scoop (pun intended)!

Q: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Zack: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Q: Do you prefer it in a bowl, cone, or waffle?

Zack: Waffle cone bowl!  Didn’t see that coming did ya?

Q: How many scoops make up the perfect ice cream treat?

Zack: Are you calling me fat?

Q: Fruit or candy toppings? And what kinds?

Zack: That’s kinda seasonal. In the summer I gotta go fruity flavors, but in the cooler months I’m going candy!  Extra cookie dough please!

Q: Is ice cream a year round thing or only summer time when it’s warm?

Zack: Who only eats ice cream in the summer?  When it’s my turn to cook, that’s all we eat!

Q: Favorite ice cream shop?

Zack: Graeters. (Especially after Skyline.)  Cincinnati shout out!

Q: Do you have a favorite brand of ice cream? (Blue Bell, Eddy’s,Häagen-Dazs, ect.)

Zack: I don’t play favorites. No need to hurt anyone’s feelings.

Q: Is frozen yogurt just as good as ice cream?

Zack: In my humble opinion, yes. Any other answer is incorrect.

Q: Still fresh off the heels of releasing your album “Between the Pews”, how have fans reacted about the album?

Zack: People have mentioned hearing a difference in this album!  It was written from a different angle, a different perspective.

Q: You guys are still touring extensively, where are you playing this week?

Zack: We are in Louisville this weekend, and then we are headed to play a week of camp.  Then we have three shows back to back.

Q: We see the energy and dedication you put into creating your music videos, who has the vision behind location, views, storylines, ect?

Zack: It’s a shared vision between myself and director Austin.

Q: Can we expect another single off the album?

Zack: Another video is going to release on August 2nd.  It’ll be a bit of a flashback.
