This was Claytons first time playing the Shed. Im glad I got to catch this Guy as he did a fine job!
According to his website claytonmann.net he began guitar lessons at age 10. I asked Clayton about himself and this is what he had to say:
I grew up in Northern Illinois under the influence of a lot of rock, country and blues, it wasn’t uncommon to hear Elvis, Queen, ZZ Top, Tom Jones, Brooks N’ Dunn, Toby Keith around the house growing up. At 11 years old my brothers and I started a hard rock band, we played everywhere we could, or at least where they would allow us. We played KISS, AC/DC, GnR, Metallica, pretty hard rock stuff. We went on to play the Whiskey-A-GoGo in West Hollywood, MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and Hard Rock Chicago. After about 4 years my brothers decided to continue on other ventures outside of music, and I joined an entertainment group; this is where my love for music really stretches, as I went from playing Metallica to Frank Sinatra. It helped grow my chops as an entertainer and feel out whatever song I had to sing. I spent 2 years playing lead guitar and singing at parties, weddings, private events, basically 4 – 6 hour sets for larger crowds. After a while I realized it was time to move on to bigger things, I made a few trips to Nashville and decided that was my next adventure. At 18 I packed my van and headed down to Music City. I’ve been here for a year now and spend a lot of time writing songs, playing shows. Out on the road all around the country and down on Broadway at Tootsies . Where I am a frontman. My band and I are currently cutting an EP in East Nashville for release later this year! We are gonna be hitting the road hard in 2020, We hope to see old faces and new!
