What is your favorite holiday treat?

Emma Garell: I mean I love cookies…does chocolate chip count as a holiday treat. I am sure it’s Santa’s, right.

Do you have a favorite holiday scent?

Emma Garell: Anything tree…cedar, pine. Anything tree.

Hot chocolate or apple cider?

Emma Garell: apple cider, cold or hot I don’t mind either way

What are you most thankful for this year?

Emma Garell: Just to be where I am and able to live in the present.

Do you have any Christmas traditions? If not, are there any that you would like to try or start?

Emma Garell: I don’t have any, but I would love to have some one day.

How long did you believe in Santa?

Emma Garell: I was 10, I found out because the tooth fairy told me. No really, it was because I was looking for my tooth fairy money and my mom was confident that it was there. So I asked her if she put it there and she confessed and then I asked her about Santa as well. I was very angry that she lied to me…you know the classic.

What is your favorite Christmas movie?

Emma Garell: Home Alone & Elf

Do you do your Christmas shopping early, or do you wait last second?

Emma Garell: It depends on the gift, a close family member if I have something in mind I buy early. But a friend that I feel like I need to get a gift for it is more likely last minute.

What does Christmas mean to you?

Emma Garell: What does Christmas mean to me, it is one of my favorite holidays. The music, the movies, the smells all those things make me feel warm in my chest.

Favorite dish for the holiday?

Emma Garell: mashed potato…anything potato

Do you enjoy decorating and are you typically full of the Christmas spirit?

Emma Garell: No, I don’t really like decorating. I prefer someone else do it for me. I wouldn’t say I am any more full of the Christmas spirit than most people.

Christmas dinner: ham or turkey?

Emma Garell: Turkey, Fun Fact…I have an irrational fear of ham.

Are there any Christmas tunes you like to put on to set the Christmas mood?

Emma Garell: Mariah Carey “All I want for Christmas is You”

What are your plans this year for Christmas?

Emma Garell: Being at home with my family. Pretty low key.

Does snow really make it feel like Christmas or could you live without snow?

Emma Garell: I think if it is cold outside there should be snow on the ground, otherwise I don’t see the point.

Which is more fun, making a snow angel or snowman?

Emma Garell: snowman

We see it every year, something new is made smelling or tasting like pumpkin spice. What are your thoughts? Overkill, bring it on, or really do not care?

Emma Garell: I have never consumed anything pumpkin spice, I don’t really know what that taste means. To each their own.
