Do you enjoy decorating?

Kenn – No

Maddox – Hell naw

Dereak – I do. Growing up we always decorated

Let’s settle the debate: does the Christmas tree go up after Halloween or after Thanksgiving?

Kenn – I’d prefer to leave it up all year. Mine lasted till April last year.

Maddox – Really….It’s a daily thing….Around the 4 o’clock hour….Closer to 4:19:59. 😉

Dereak – After Thanksgiving !

Do you have any Christmas traditions? If not, are there any that you would like to try or start?

Kenn – We started Elf on the Shelf for my girlfriend’s kids this year.

Dereak – Always a good meal with family and watching “It’s a wonderful life”

How long did you believe in Santa?

Kenn – Wait…he’s not real?

Maddox – Bout a week… minus 6 and 1/2 days.

Dereak – I think I was pretty young and had older siblings that broke the news to me – but I still believe in the spirit of Santa.

Do you do your Christmas shopping early, or are you a last second shopper?

Kenn – Always last second. It’s a rush.

Maddox – This is typically outsourced.

Dereak – Both!

What does Christmas mean to you?

Kenn – Joy to the world.

Maddox – A plethora of things, but it also means good cooking and good eating.

Dereak – it’s a time to be with family and friends and put the outside world on hold for a day and enjoy the moment and remember what’s really important in life

We all know Christmas dinners mean some of the dishes that we’ve been craving like homemade dressing, grandma’s turkey and ham. What is the dish you are most looking forward to digging into come Christmas dinner?

Kenn – Turkey legs. Us Canadians are weird.

Maddox – Ain’t no lie – it’s the P.E.C.A.N PIE!

Dereak – I have a large family so there are always lots of desserts to try but we often do a prime rib with homemade mashed potatoes that’s hard to beat

What are your plans this year for Christmas?

Kenn – Enjoy time with my family that’s visiting from Canada.

Maddox – Top secret! Duh.

Dereak – Spend it with my kids, family and friends.

Do you have to have snow to really make it feel Christmas or could you live without it?

Kenn – I can live without it…happily.

Maddox – Been here in Texas for all of about my entire life sooooo… Yes its drastically needed.  I’ve been deprived of snow since forever.

Dereak – I spent my Junior high and high school days up in the north so I would love to have snow every year

Are there any Christmas tunes you like to put on to set the Christmas mood?

Kenn – Christmas at Ground Zero by Weird Al

Maddox – Grandma got run over by a reindeer

Dereak –  I like the old stuff. Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Elvis, etc.  So any of their songs and Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas “

We see it every year, something new is made smelling or tasting like pumpkin spice. What are your thoughts? Overkill, bring it on, or really do not care?

Kenn – Bring on the Pumpkin Spice Knickers!

Maddox – Keep it in the coffee folks

Dereak – I love pumpkin pie.  😍

Do you have any memorable Christmas memories from your childhood or recent that make Christmas a memorable time of year?

Kenn – Unfortunately (or fortunately) depending on how you look at it, my family never really made a big deal out of Christmas. We would usually go to a Chinese restaurant since that’s about all that was open on Christmas. Last couple years I have been trying to break that cycle. #eggfooyoungar

Maddox – Plenty. Including all of the usual suspects that come with this time of year, but outside of that lately it’s be the runs with the band that happen around this time.

Dereak – I think a lot of kids would say running out in the morning to see what Santa left but for me I guess it was just being with family.
