MULTI-HYPHENATE STAR DYLAN CONRIQUE FINDS A LOVE THAT FEELS LIKE HOME ON SWOON-WORTHY NEW SONG “A LITTLE LIKE YOU”

NASHVILLE, TENN. (April 17, 2026) – Today, multi-hyphenate rising star Dylan Conrique returns with “A Little Like You” — a sweetly moving portrait of falling for someone who feels familiar in all the right ways. A luminous piece of Country-Pop, “A Little Like You” spotlights the 22-year-old singer/songwriter/actress’ undeniable gift for penning love songs that land with lasting emotional truth. Go here to listen now.

Written by Conrique, Sam Mackenzie Ellis, and Lydia Sutherland, “A Little Like You” arrives as the follow-up to “Polaroid” — a confessional ballad about the self-doubt she experienced upon moving to Nashville after years of living in Los Angeles. In contrast to the song’s vulnerability, “A Little Like You” fully captures the quiet yet powerful joy of finding a partner who lives up to the man who taught you what love should be.

Produced by Jimmy Robbins (Maren Morris, Maddie & Tae, Cole Swindell), “A Little Like You” opens in a haze of dreamlike textures and brightly chiming guitar work, setting the stage for Conrique’s swoon-worthy rendering of the one she adores (“He stops to pet every dog on the sidewalk / He holds every door, he’s a master of small talk / Parks his truck in the back of the lot / A little like you”). Through her detailed observation of his kindness and generosity, she reveals the song’s deeper undercurrent: the subtle influence of a father who set the standard, and the wish for the two men to accept each other (from the chorus: “Yeah, I think that you’ll like him / Just give him a second / He’s probably nervous / Scared of the girl he might lose / A little like you”). Anchored in Conrique’s warm and tender vocal work, “A Little Like You” builds toward a glorious tidal wave of emotion at the bridge (“Might be my DNA or how I was raised / But he’ll never be mine if he ain’t / A little like you”) — ultimately striking a rare balance of romantic intensity and clear-eyed understanding of what real care requires.
Since moving to Nashville in spring 2025, Conrique has reconnected with her lifelong affinity for Country music — a passion rooted in her upbringing on a farm in Northern California. Along with “Polaroid,” her latest batch of songs includes “How To Lose The Girl” (a fall 2025 release that landed on Billboard’s “5 Must-Hear New Country Songs”) and “Written In Stone” (a gently devastating track about the prospect of losing the one you cherish most). Kicking off her most compelling chapter yet, her new material marks a major evolution for a self-driven artist whose past success includes working with hitmaker Max Martin, earning a GOLD-certified viral smash with 2022’s “birthday cake,” and headlining her own international tour — all while building a parallel career onscreen, including a series regular role on ABC’s The Rookie. More new music from Conrique is due out soon.
ABOUT DYLAN CONRIQUE:
A multi-hyphenate star who’s made her mark in both music and acting, Dylan Conrique is embarking on a bold era defined by her most soul-baring work to date. After achieving major success in the Pop space – like going GOLD with her viral smash “birthday cake” – the 22-year-old artist recently relocated to Nashville for the express purpose of honing her voice as a songwriter and getting back to her roots. Born and raised in Northern California, Conrique grew up listening to artists like Rascal Flatts, with Country staples such as George Strait also part of the soundtrack of her upbringing. She moved to Los Angeles at a young age to launch a career in acting. With screen credits including a recurring role on ABC’s The Rookie, she made her music debut at age 15 and soon ascended through the Pop ranks, including collaborating with super-producer Max Martin, headlining an international tour, and earning such accolades as being named a YouTube Music Artist on the Rise. Despite those landmark moments, Conrique ultimately felt called to step away from the genre and pursue her lifelong passion for Country – a turn of events that quickly found her in the room with top-tier songwriters and producers in her new home of Nashville. With more music on the way, Conrique has introduced the world to her deeply personal storytelling and quietly stunning sound with releases including “Written In Stone,” “How To Lose The Girl,” and “Polaroid,” alongside “A Little Like You.”
