BREAKOUT SINGER/SONGWRITER LILLY MOSS EXPLORES LOVE & LETTING GO ON NEW SINGLE “SOMEBODY SHOULD”

NASHVILLE, TENN. (July 31, 2026) — Today, 21-year-old Country riser Lilly Moss shares her ravishing new single “Somebody Should.” A tender reflection on loving someone enough to let them go, the bittersweet breakup ballad arrives as Moss gets set to open for MULTI-PLATINUM Country star Russell Dickerson tonight (7/31) at Musikfest in her hometown of Bethlehem, PA. Go here to listen to “Somebody Should” now.

The follow-up to her fiery debut single “Death of Me,” “Somebody Should” is Moss’ second release since signing to Music City Power Company — an artist development and music marketing hub launched as an extension of Galaxy Label Group, an independent label founded by Preston Brust and Chris Lucas of PLATINUM-selling duo LOCASH and manager Skip Bishop. Rooted in Moss’ luminous vocal work, the Country-Folk stunner was penned by an elite lineup of co-writers: Dan Wilson (a member of the AIMP Rising Songwriter Class of 2021), Ben Williams (a MusicRow Breakout Songwriter of the Year honoree), and PLATINUM-selling singer/songwriter Avery Anna.

Echoing the extraordinary empathy that defines much of Moss’ music, “Somebody Should” documents the painful realization that caring for someone doesn’t always mean you’re the right person for them (from the chorus: “Even if it breaks my heart / Somebody should promise you forever / Somebody should love you a little better”). As she captures the singular ache of choosing honesty over giving someone false hope, Moss infuses every line with a delicate balance of sorrow, warmth, and selfless compassion. Produced by Eric Torres (Sister Hazel), “Somebody Should” pairs that outpouring with a gorgeous arrangement of lush guitars, wistful mandolin, and gently propulsive rhythms — all while foregrounding the exquisite nuance and vulnerability of Moss’ enthralling vocal performance.

A beguiling live performer, Moss will take the stage tonight as one of two openers for Russell Dickerson. Not only a highly anticipated hometown show for Moss, her Musikfest set continues her connection with Dickerson, who invited her onstage for a duet of his Billboard Hot 100 hit “God Gave Me A Girl” at last December’s Grant Thornton Invitational gala. As a childhood cancer survivor, Moss earned a standing ovation earlier in the night by delivering the keynote address at the gala (a benefit for CureSearch for Children’s Cancer). Check out her duet with Dickerson here.

A lifelong music lover who began writing songs at 16, Moss started releasing music at 19 and quickly turned heads with unforgettably poignant songs like “Heartbreak Summer,” which landed on Spotify’s coveted All New Country playlist. With the arrival of “Death of Me” (a combustible tale of danger and desire), she made a triumphant debut as the second artist signed to Music City Power Company — a forward-thinking company whose services span A&R, distribution, radio promotion, creative direction, and marketing, all with the mission of bridging the gap between creative vision and real-world market execution. Stay tuned for more new music from Moss soon.
