Alex Mari: drops third single ahead of debut album release

Out now on all streaming and download platforms, “Ancestral Whispers” marks the third single from Alex Mari’s upcoming debut album “Origins” (out October 9, 2026). The track features guest vocals by Leonardo_Big Leo and comes with its official video, now available on YouTube.

Alex explains the meaning behind “Ancestral Whispers”: “The song is loosely inspired by the theme of soulmates finding each other across different lives, explored by Brian L. Weiss in Only Love Is Real, without directly referencing or adapting the book. It tells of a love that continues beyond time and distance: perhaps a love still waiting to be found, or one already lived and then separated by circumstance, by life, or by death. Two souls keep searching for and recognizing one another, even as bodies, names, eras, and circumstances change. What remains is a subtle memory, older than the mind, the call of something that was never truly lost: a love that crosses lifetimes, waiting to find its way back.”

“Origins” was mixed and mastered by Roberto Priori at Pri Studio (Danger Zone, Wheels Of Fire, Raintimes, Michele Luppi, Backlash, Night Pleasure Hotel) in Bologna, Italy.

Alex Mari is an Italian rock/metal singer, songwriter, and musician known for his original work with the AOR band Night Pleasure Hotel and the progressive rock band Barock Project. He also performs as a backing vocalist with Michele Luppi (Whitesnake) in the Michele Luppi Band, and has recorded backing vocals for Rhapsody Of Fire on the albums “Legendary Years”, “The Eighth Mountain” and “Glory For Salvation”. His live experience also includes performances with Ophiura, Secret Sphere, and Markonee, alongside a range of collaborations across the rock and metal scene.
