Nashville, TN (October 6, 2026) – Country powerhouse Jacquie Roar is celebrating another major career milestone with a feature in Billboard Country Update, where she recently sat down with acclaimed Billboard journalist Tom Roland to discuss her latest single, “Lie with You” featuring Stee, and her continued rise as one of country music’s most compelling emerging artists.

The feature comes as Roar makes her official country radio debut with “Lie with You,” a sultry collaboration with fellow The Voice alum Stee. The pair first became friends as competitors on Season 24 of The Voice, and their journey has now come full circle with the release of their new single. Released August 28, “Lie with You” explores temptation, desire and the complicated emotions surrounding forbidden attraction.

“In a previous era, country music’s decision-makers counted cheatin’ songs as a staple of the genre,” Roland writes. “Kenny Rogers’ ‘Daytime Friends,’ Barbara Mandrell’s ‘(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want to Be Right’ and the Reba McEntire/Linda Davis collaboration ‘Does He Love You’ all placed consenting adults in situations with other consenting adults that most of society agreed were inappropriate. And they all went to No. 1.”

From a songwriting retreat in Joshua Tree to country radio, Roar gets candid with Roland about the inspiration behind the song and why she believes there’s a place for a little temptation in country music.

“I’m a complicated woman, and that should show through my music,” says Roar.

For Roar, the Billboard Country Update feature marks another significant step forward following years of building her career from the ground up. A Top 4 finalist on Season 24 of The Voice, Roar first captured national attention with her powerful four-chair-turn audition and has since established herself as a dynamic live performer and songwriter.

Since her time on The Voice, Roar has shared stages with some of country music’s biggest names, including Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Kelsea Ballerini, Gary Allan, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Riley Green, Wynonna, Jackson Dean and more. She has also performed at major Nashville events including CMA Fest, the Grand Ole Opry Plaza and Whiskey Jam.

Co-written by Jacquie Roar, Christian Pond, Jesse Slack, Jason Mater, Steve Fee and Jordan Gray, “Lie with You” is now making its way to country radio and Roar is entering a new chapter in her career — one that brings her powerful vocals, fearless songwriting and undeniable stage presence to an even wider country audience.

“Lie with You” featuring Stee is available now on all streaming platforms.
