Written by Jet Jurgensmeyer, Vern Brown, and Sam Hayes, the track draws inspiration from hardworking families who do their best to provide for their children and make the holidays special. Recorded at Mount Willis Studio and produced by John Willis and Jet Jurgensmeyer, the song highlights the dedication, family values, and everyday experiences that have long been part of country music storytelling.
“Vern, Sam, and I were sitting around reminiscing about our childhood Christmases when we started talking about the dads who work hard to provide for their families and make the holidays special for their kids,” Jurgensmeyer shares. “That got us thinking about the idea of a blue-collar dad being Santa Claus in his own way, only instead of a sleigh, he drives a Chevrolet.”
The holiday track comes on the heels of Jet’s recent singles, including “Sane To My Crazy” and “Nothing On You,” which has garnered 800K streams and is currently impacting at radio, as well as “Drink Alone,” his duet with The Voice standout Kayleigh Clark, which has surpassed 700K streams. Earlier this year, Jurgensmeyer’s inspiring anthem “RED” surpassed one million streams worldwide with its message of unity and shared humanity, further solidifying his growing momentum as an emerging country artist.
In 2024, Jurgensmeyer released his sophomore album, THE RIDE: phase 2, a genre-blending collection praised for its emotional depth and inventive songwriting. Featuring fan favorites including “Good Days,” “Coffee Bar,” and “Falling Too,” the project further cemented his reputation as one of country music’s most exciting emerging artists.
Beyond music, Jurgensmeyer has made a notable mark as an actor, bringing versatility and depth to both comedic and dramatic roles. Notable appearances include the series regular role of “Boyd” on FOX’s hit comedy, Last Man Standing, as well as lending his voice to the lead character, Pip the Penguin, in the Disney animated series, T.O.T.S. In addition to his thriving acting career, Jurgensmeyer has accumulated an impressive list of film credits, including roles in Adventures In Babysitting, Cupid’s Proxy, Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie, Ferdinand, and American Sniper. He has also made appearances in popular television shows such as Ozark, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grey’s Anatomy, and Black-ish. Jurgensmeyer’s talent extends to voice acting, with significant roles in Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine, Bubble Guppies, Amazon’s The Stinky & Dirt Show and Disney’s Special Agent Oso and Pickle and Peanut.
