Miranda Lambert Kicks Off the Season at Klipsch Music Center with Special Guests Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore

IMG_0083Miranda Lambert has kicked off her “Keeper of the Flame” tour featuring special guest performances by Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore. The tour rolled into Noblesville, IN Saturday night May 14th. Lambert and her supporters performed for a substantial, energetic crowd at the Klipsch Music Center.

The show opened with a solid performance by Brothers Osborne. The band is fronted by TJ Osborne, who provides lead vocals, IMG_0080 and John Osborne with accompanying vocals and guitar. Brothers Osborne is most known for their popular hits “Rum” and “Stay A little Longer”. The duo performed those hits and more as a part of their artistic set. Brothers Osborne recently released their first full length album titled Pawn Shop.Be sure to check out our review of the album HERE.

IMG_0154-2Kip Moore is one of country music’s hottest male vocalists. Bearing a muscular physique in his cut off T-shirt, and backward ball cap; Kip delivered an energetic performance. Moore has one of the most recognizable voices in  current country music. Some fan favorites of the night included “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck”, “Beer Money” and “Hey Pretty Girl”. Kip’s music is a mix of Rock and Roll energy and country music storytelling. Moore has just come off of his first headlining club tour in support of his latest album Wild Ones. Check out our review/photos of the Wild Ones tour HERE. Kip performed  several songs from his new album as he warmed up the crowd for Miranda Lambert. Moore talked to the crowd about a controversial song from his new album that record executives persuaded him not to include. However, staying true to his beliefs that real life happens despite the unsavory,  Kip  decided to put it on the album anyway. Moore closed his dynamic set with “That Was Us” as the standing crowd held onto every word.

IMG_0646After Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore got the crowd well buttered, they were ready for the headliner Miranda Lambert. It was a cold opening night at Klipsch Music Center but the stage was hot! Miranda Lambert’s band took the stage and performed “Fastest Girl in Town” as the opening number. It set a precedence for the rest of the show as it was energy packed from start to finish. The stage was equipped with a visually appealing backdrop and a stunning light setup that captivated the attention of all those in attendance. It is no secret that Miranda has had a rough go lately. However, with the new tour underway, Miranda displayed a sassy attitude and a knock em’ dead gorgeous smile. She is proving to the world that she is doing fine and having fun performing for her fans.

The Indiana crowd got a taste of Miranda’s sass when she spotted a beach ball being knocked around after finishing, “All Kinds of Kinds”. Miranda called for the crowd to send the ball up to the stage and answer Miranda’s demands, one must! Lambert told the crowd that the weather felt like January and that they didn’t need the beach ball. Miranda proceeded to show the crowd a necklace with a Pistol charm that was  IMG_0368also a pocket knife. Her best friend and fellow artist Ashley Monroe gave it to her as a gift. In true Miranda fashion she took that pocket knife and jammed it into the beach ball deflating it and carrying it off the stage. Some of the crowd looked on in shock while the majority cheered in support for her vengeful antics.  The singer got right back to business singing “The House That Built Me” as the crowd boldly sang the lyrics right back at her.

Miranda’s vocals were strong and crisp throughout the entire performance and she was backed by talented musicians. I found myself not needing earplugs as the sound was well balanced and the music didn’t overpower the vocals. Miranda kicked it into high gear finishing IMG_0334her show with “White Liar”, “Little Red Wagon”, and “Gunpowder & Lead”. The crowd beckoned an encore performance and Miranda delivered as she thanked the crowd and decided to end the show with traditional country. The entire show was full of high energy, kick ass country so why not slow things down a bit? Lambert channeled her inner Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn with her final number “Dear Diamond”.  Be sure to check out the tour dates below and catch Miranda’s show as the “Keeper of the Flame” tour heads your way!
