The Royal Hounds

The Band The Royal Hounds are a very unique band. I dont think theres any other band quite like them. They Started in Knoxville Tennessee and since have moved to Nashville Tennessee. They have toured across America, South America and Europe for several years. They do Swing, Honky Tonk, Bass Surfing, Country, Rockabilly .

Founding member Scott Hinds is the brain behind the band. Scott started out as a school teacher . He wanted to do music full time and so he quit teaching and moved to Las Vegas. While there he was in the Million Dollar Quartet for quite some time. Scott is the lead singer and bassist for the Royal Hounds. He Plays a Big Stand Up bass and he can also play guitar too. He is very entertaining to watch with all the faces he makes and all his on stage antics. You never know what he might do next!
The trio of very skilled musicians have been entertaining audiences since 2011
They have had a few lineup changes over the years and since have added guitarist extraordinaire Matheus Canteri . Matheus hails from Brazil and the band worked for two years to get him a work visa so he could play with the band. He’s a great addition to the band . He’s a Great Shredder!
Scott will lay his bass down and Matheus will stand on it for a rousing applause from the audience. They are usually doing this during the song “Wipe Out”.
Their songs are as unique as the band and the one song which seems to be a favorite is called “ I’m in Love With a Zombie” from the album with the same name.
They have their 3rd CD coming out in the summer of 2019.
They Recently Opened up for Drivin N Cryin at the very popular Maryville Tennessee Venue “The Shed” which is part of the Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson . I know they gained some more fans that night and the crowd loved their on stage antics
