Them Dirty Roses Rock Knoxville Tennessee

Southern Rock Music is Alive and well Thanks in part to bands like Them Dirty Roses. Thanks to The Guys from Filthy Nasty Productions for bringing Them Dirty Roses to The Open Chord All Things Music Stage Recently. Open Chord is an All Music Venue located in Knoxville Tennessee. Great sound and lights! Always a Great Time!
Opening the show was a cool Rock band called Voodoo 13. They hail from Jackson Mississippi . They formed in 1997. Chris Blevins , Curt Thomas, Brad Berryhill and Rusty Snow are Voodoo 13. They did a great rocking set .They have played with lots of top artists such as L.A. Guns, John Corabi, Black Stone Cherry, Warrant, Great White , Faster Pussycat, and now Them Dirty Roses! Their newest single out is called “ Twisted Love” that came out in August 2020. Be sure to check out this Rockin band mixed with a little voodoo at
Then the time came for Them Dirty Roses. They already have a following I could tell as people came from all over to see them. Fans gathered at the front of the stage as soon as the guys started making their way up front . It was my first time getting to see them live and I was definitely impressed. Theses guys ARE as southern as they come I could hear influences from Hank Williams Jr and Lynyrd Skynyrd in their songs.
They were born and raised in the South , Gadsden Alabama to be exact. Those Boys know how to Rock. Formed by Brothers James Ford ( Vocals /Guitar) and his Brother Frank Ford ( Drums) along with two good friends Andrew Davis ( Guitar) and Ben Crain ( Bass) make up Them Dirty Roses who now call Nashville Tennessee Home.
Some of my favorite songs they do are “ Cocaine and Whiskey” , “ Molly” , “ Whiskey In My Cup” , “ Grew Up Country” . But They have a Brand new song Just Released called “ Holy Roller” Now That’s a Killer song! After their set the crowd still wanted more hollering Encore! Encore! so the guys came back and did another 4-5 songs. It was one BIG party that night. People dancing/singing along. They did a few covers one of my favorites ” Whipping Post” by The Allman Brothers . Andrew was all over the stage and at one point running around in circles and jumping up in the air . One Highlight of the night was During Frank Fords Drum Solo when his Brother James Joined him on playing the drums for a double drum solo. The Crowd went wild!
These guys will definitely go far so keep an eye out if they come your way.
