Nashville’s Next Big Thing – Country Music Singer Songwriter BRAD HARDIN Q&A

Country music had stood the test of time and has produced a plethora of legends like Hank Williams, Don Williams, George Jones. Superstars like Eric Church, Jason Aldean, and Luke Combs have been the recent craze in Nashville with their unique style that stays true to country music. As the door swings from one generation to the next we have our rising stars who pay their dues show after show to earn their stripes to headline worldwide tours and more. Danville, Kentucky native Brad Hardin has been cutting his teeth in country music since 2017 touring all across America.

Brad has been playing guitar since the young age of 15, and perfecting his craft ever since. In 2017 Brad decided to perform professionally as he also crafted his own material as a singer songwriter. A trait that not many artist in Nashville can claim. with the release of ”Pretty As You” Brad puts his creative talents on display for the world to know he’s just scratching the surface of what he can do.

We had the opportunity to chat with Brad and ask him a bit about himself, his music, and what fans can expect in the future and heres what he had to say.

MMM: Are you working on any new music projects?

BRAD: am currently working on a 5 song EP, I’m super excited for people to hear my new material I worked really hard on these songs and to deliver a modern country album with traditional roots, good songwriting and just a splash of rock.

MMM: You’ve posted a “happy birthday chief” post on Facebook awhile back in honor of Eric Church. What song of his is your favorite?

BRAD: Man that’s a hard one lol every song that man ever sang is great, if I HAD to pick one I’d probably say “What I Almost Was” because the final verse hits me hard.

MMM: Who are some of your influences for your love of music?

BRAD: I’m a huge fan of Keith Whitley but some of my bigger influences are Eric Church, Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn, I also take a lot of influence from being raised around rock & roll so I incorporate a lot of that into my music and shows

MMM: Your from Danville, Kentucky- a state filled with rich musical history. Growing up who Influenced you to be drawn into music/country music that you share roots with?

BRAD: Growing up I remember listening to the fletcher brothers a lot, there’s so many great Kentucky artists, Billy Ray Cyrus, John Michael Montgomery, Montgomery Gentry, Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson and of course Keith Whitley, playing at Austin City Saloon I’ve also came to really look up to guys like George Molton and Greg Austin.

MMM: You carry the traditional style country from the 90’s in your music which is where some country music artist seemed have abandoned, what’s important about keeping traditional country music alive to you?

BRAD: In todays age you have to incorporate a modern style into your music but what’s important to me is keeping a traditional base, pedal steel is a must.

MMM: The single you released last year “Pretty As You” is a song that is going to take you places, can you tell us a bit about the story behind this perfectly written love song?

BRAD: was living in a small house that didn’t have any blinds in it, it was a clear Kentucky summer day and the sky was beautiful, I started thinking about driving through the Smokey mountains with my grandfather as a child and all the beautiful things I’ve seen and came up with the concept of if you’re truly in love with someone none of those things would compare to her and that’s where the idea came from the rest was just putting the story together and getting down to Nashville to record it.

MMM: You’ve performed all across the country and getting ready to perform at Austin City in Lexington, Ky. What has been your favorite venue to perform at and why?

BRAD: I’ve gotten the opportunity to play some awesome stages with some awesome people, I played the civic center at Rupp Arena, EKU Center for the Arts, Jd Legends and Manchester Music Hall, but my absolute favorite place in the world is Austin City Saloon, it just feels like home to me, the people are more than fans they’re friends and there’s a family feel about the place, with the history of the bar lighting a fire under your ass you just can’t replicate the energy there.

MMM: You just announced your new fan club “The Regulators” a pretty great feeling knowing your music is as popular as it is and your fan base is growing.

BRAD: From when I started to now is a very humbling feeling, I have so many people that’s pushed me to this point and ofcourse I wouldn’t be who I am today without the fans, the regulators group was created for people to come and talk, swap pictures and videos of shows and create a family vibe.

MMM: What can fans expect in the future from Brad Hardin?

BRAD: I try not to look to far into the future, short term I’d like to push out more great music that I’ve been working on, longer term the goal is always to sign to a major label and push my music out to the world and tour, one of my biggest dreams is to step into the circle at the Grand Ole Opry someday.

Thanks Brad for your time! We greatly appreciate it and wish you nothing but the best! Be sure to check Brad out on social medias to stay ip to date with news and tour information!
