NASHVILLE, TENN. (April 14, 2026) — Country Thunder — the largest Country music festival brand in North America — today announces that Country Thunder Florida 2026 will now take place at Coachman Park in Clearwater. Known for its breathtaking views and lush green space, the stunning waterfront park offers an ideal home for the festival’s first-ever beachside edition. With all approvals secured and the path fully clear for the three-day festival, Country Thunder Florida is set to heat up Clearwater from May 8–10.

“We are excited to introduce Country music fans to beautiful waterfront Coachman Park and to be the new location for Country Thunder. There’s a lot that goes into expediting event preparations and moving a festival 30 days before it is scheduled and we have been working around the clock with Country Thunder officials to ensure we deliver a great festival experience for ticket holders and the artists,” shares City Manager Jennifer Poirrier. “I’m excited to put on my boots and watch the sunset while listening to some great Country music.”

Headlined by Country superstars Zach TopGavin Adcock, and Kane Brown, Country Thunder Florida’s milestone event arrives with a stacked lineup also featuring Randy HouserMax McNownShaboozeyDasha, and many more.

“This is about putting on the festival we came here to deliver,” says Country Thunder Executive Director Kim Blevins. “As we moved forward with planning for the festival, it became clear that Clearwater offered the infrastructure and community partnership needed to bring this event to life the right way. Coachman Park gives us the ability to execute our full vision and create an unforgettable experience for fans. We’re excited to be in a community that’s truly embracing what Country Thunder is all about, and we can’t wait for an incredible event.”

Located less than 20 miles from the originally announced site in St. Pete Beach, Coachman Park provides a waterfront venue built to host a festival of this scale, pairing expansive grounds with a high-energy, fan-first atmosphere. Across three days, Country Thunder Florida will transform Coachman Park into a bucket-list festival experience — uniting fans from all corners of the U.S. for nonstop music, connection, and coastal ambiance at its finest. Beyond the music, attendees can expect a full slate of all-day action: cowboy hat and apparel vendors, a wide range of food offerings, plus an additional stage spotlighting rising artists from the Sunshine State and a Songwriter Showcase featuring the writers behind the Main Stage’s biggest smashes. Curated sponsor activations bring added buzz throughout the grounds, and surprise artist meet-and-greets can surface at any moment.

“While we are disappointed that Country Thunder Florida will no longer take place on St. Pete Beach, it has been a privilege to work alongside the Country Thunder team throughout this process,” said Travis Johnson, Hotel Manager of TradeWinds Resort. “Both Country Thunder and TradeWinds worked closely with the city, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission, to address permitting requirements, and ultimately this decision reflects what is best for the overall logistics and long-term success of the event. We are proud to remain a resort partner and look forward to welcoming Country music fans to St. Pete-Clearwater and to TradeWinds Resort, while continuing to support the positive economic impact this event brings to our community.”

To make the venue available for Country Thunder, The Florida Orchestra agreed to move its free community concert Symphony by the Sea to June 6, 2026, at The BayCare Sound, showing the strong community support for the festival.

In light of the venue change, Country Thunder ticket holders interested in a refund can do so at the original point of purchase.
