EXILE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE “LOOK OUT, HEART” AHEAD OF UPCOMING ALBUM

The new single captures the band’s signature sound while telling the story of love that proves impossible to resist.

NASHVILLE, TN. – (May 29, 2026) – American country rock legends and Kentucky Music Hall of Fame inductees Exile have announced the release of their first single, “Look Out Heart” off their forthcoming album of the same name. Written by ACM Award-winning songwriter and Exile founding member J.P. Pennington The song is about someone, after failed attempts at a relationship, recognizes that this person is truly the one, no matter how much you try to resist it.

“This song is exemplary of a lot of the past material over the course of the long history of the band. We feel that fans new and old will enjoy ‘Look Out, Heart!’” Exile shared.

The new recording features original members Sonny LeMaire (bass guitar/harmony vocals), J.P. Pennington (electric guitars/percussion, lead vocal /acoustic guitar), Marlon Hargis (keyboards/vocals), Steve Goetzman (drums), and Les Taylor (acoustic guitars/harmony vocals.) Exile formed in 1963, looking to play small clubs in Richmond, Kentucky, but managed to top both the pop and country charts with eighteen hits collectively, including eleven No. 1s during their 60-year-long career. Their iconic smash hit, “Kiss You All Over,” spent four weeks at the top of Billboard’s pop chart in 1978. In the early 1980s, Exile started to focus on country music. During their run on the country charts, Exile had ten No. 1 singles, including “Woke Up In Love” and “Give Me One More Chance.” The hit song “Kiss You All Over” was used in the 1996 Adam Sandler movie Happy Gilmore and the 2006 film Employee of the Month, among others.
